(Anonymous) 2018-04-27 01:42 am (UTC)(link)Also it is legal where I am for cousins to marry. I understand it is a squick for you (and I'm not a fan of cousins being together), but cousins marrying is not really seen as 'incest' nowadays.

(Anonymous) 2018-04-27 01:50 am (UTC)(link)Also, cousins marrying might not be seen as incest wherever you come from, but here, even though it is technically legal, people would judge you hard for it. Even if you were second or third cousins, if you wanted to stay together you'd probably have to move to some place where nobody knew of your relation.

(Anonymous) 2018-04-27 02:19 am (UTC)(link)I really don't see what's so dumb or assuming about pointing out that different places and societies have different views on issues such as incest. But you do you, I guess.

(Anonymous) 2018-04-27 05:14 am (UTC)(link)Turns out, that even if two men are biologically related and having a sexual relationship, for a very long time it didn't count as incest, because there was no vagina involved. It only counted as incest when there was the possibility for offspring.
And that's so not the weirdest definition I found, too.

* I mean, you could still get a divorce on grounds of unreasonable behaviour, so it doesn't make all that much difference in practice, but it's still weird.
