I was on an internet break to avoid Infinity War spoilers so I didn't get to post my usual weekend plans post.

How was everyone's weekend? What do you all get up to?

I went and saw IW Saturday night. It was awesome. My theater had a delicious mixed drink called the Mad Titan. Afterwards my group went to eat delicious half price appetizers so we didn't get home until midnight. I also found out my sister is pregnant with her second child.

Congratulations to her (if that's in order).

I'm hoping to see the movie in a similar setting, with tasty food on order in a 21+ theater.

Yeah, she has been trying for a while.

Our theater is 21+ for like 50% of the rooms. The two IMAX rooms are for all ages, but not the smaller ones that serve alcohol.

We have two rooms (attached to a bar) for 21+, the rest are all ages, including IMAX. They have the bar off to one side and you have to go through it to get to the rooms, so its very separate.

There were people who got all freaked about it when they built it, because it's on the same road as the high school. You would have thought they were planning on putting up a giant, neon sign saying 'SIN SIN SIN!!!' and passing out free beers of something. So ridiculous.

I love the quiet of the 21+ rooms, though - no wailing kids, no noisy teens trying to be 'cool' - and reclining seats! With a tray for your snacks/drinks! So comfy. :D

I slept most of yesterday...which was great, aside from throwing my schedule into hell...First night I'd slept through in months.

The Mad Titan: Captain Morgan Watermelon Smash, Smirnoff Citrus, sour mix, cranberry juice, and Sprite.

They also have a bunch of movie themed ones. Like, Iron Man, Deadpool, Man of Steel, Skywalker, The Flux Capacitor, and Super Soldier.

Hmm...never tried watermelon smash, so I don't know how I'd like that (I like some watermelon flavoured stuff, I dislike others), but the rest sounds good.

And thanks...the sinus issues that led to the sleep issues are still plaguing me, but I guess my body was tired of letting it win. >_>

I have some Capt. Morgan coconut rum, that makes some yummy drinks

I just got back from IW after having little to no interest in it.

I enjoyed it as someone who only saw like 7 MCU films. I acknowledge other people will enjoy it more.

My mom has apparently only seen GOTG. She was like, 'Oh, is that another movie with Chris Pratt and that rat?'

Turned 40. Found out that for all the panic over her restlessness yesterday evening, my dad's horse still hasn't foaled. She's more than two weeks overdue.

Currently planning an open fire bbq night.

Oh no. Can they induce labor in horses like they can in humans?

Have fun having a bbq. I wish I had a fire pit where I live not because the weather has been great.

I went to a one-day writing class arranged by a co-worker, and did not get as much work done as I'd hoped outside of that.

Also reading spoilers for IW because I'm not really into the MCU but I was curious about who would dying.

I went to see IW, I liked it.

It was very, very busy character-wise like I expected but the bits I liked were good and the bits I didn't care for as much were okay so that was fine.

And today I had to get up early to go visit my nieces so I am going to put on a movie or TV show soon and probably nod off.

Yeah, it was super busy but I enjoyed it. I was going to post a discussion thread but I figured I'd wait a week so more people can watch it.

How old are your nieces?

Sounds like you had an awesome time!

I replanted my tomatoes after a hard frost murdered the fuck out of the last plants. I also found someone selling elderberry bushes, so I'm hoping I can get me some elderberries and custard with elderflower tea or some fancy shit like that going on this year.

Also a lot of cleaning.

Oh no. :( I am sad they died. I hope the new ones do well until next year! Coq au vin looks like something my mom would love (I am not a mushroom fan).

I love elderberry jelly! Wish I could grow them here, but I think the deer would eat them all. :(

Reasonably chill, jazzed about the Monae release and news. Lunch with parents in JAX. Slow shift volunteering at the LGBT center. Lunch and a walk today.

Sounded like a really relaxing weekend! What is JAX?

I have a splitting headache. I think it is allergies. But I've done basically nothing. Can't handle sound, so I've spent the weekend reading top ten lists with a heating pad on my neck and another one on my forehead.

Also spent some time watching The Critter Room live feed on Youtube. The new Guardian kittens are adorable.

I will (hopefully) be seeing Infinity Wars tomorrow at noon. Fingers crossed this headache is gone so I can enjoy it.
