I don't know, I wouldn't say no meaningful responsibilities. She'll be expected to head a few charities and mission-based initiatives or something, and she'll also Not Be Allowed to ever make any mistakes or be anything less than princessy.

As someone who works for a non-profit charity, I feel like you're implying it's not difficult or something, which is pretty baffling.

Of course not! But I don't expect that Meghan Markle is going to be coming in and doing the hard work of running the charity, I guess? Maybe I'm wrong about that.

I'm only guessing, not really sure, but I can say that with the fairly sizeable sentiment in the UK that the royals are money-sucking leeches thriving off an antiquated institution, she's definitely got to be doing something akin to serious charity work. Managing PR and navigating constant public lens is probably stressful as fuck even when you're just a celebrity who doesn't owe anyone shit, but the princes and their wives have to give people their money's worth. I think that expectation is probably quite a lot of responsibility, it's not like being some kind of fantasy princess where you just get to dress pretty and drink tea all day.

Do you genuinely believe that the Duchess will be doing what you do, though?

You'd be surprised at a lot of the hands-on work that Royals do. The Queen and princes did military service, Harry famously has been doing active military. They run or at least patron charities, and use their position in public eye to do fundraising or garner publicity for these causes. They can and do officially represent the Queen (the Head of State) around the world, and perform "royal duties". I think there probably is a huge expectation that Meghan and Kate both are active members of the household and being married to a prince is a profession, not a glorified trophy wife.

However I wouldn't fuck Harry for all the money in the bank. And no, being ginger has nothing to do with it. He's just not remotely hot, and only gets a gorgeous wife due to the title.
