I initially didn't watch it for the shallowest of reasons: I don't like the lead actor's face. He just looks wrong to me, in a vaguely uncanny valley sort of way. Not sure why, and I've never seen anyone else express this opinion, but there it is.

And then the reviews (both critical and friends') started pouring in and cemented my decision. I maybe would've powered through my distaste for a truly awesome film, but for a fun yet unexceptional one? No, thanks.

(Though I do still want to see Donald Glover as Lando, so maybe I'll watch it on Netflix eventually. But I'm definitely not paying to see it at the cinema.)
