There was a show I really liked that got cancelled and ended on a really sad cliffhanger. Ever since then, I don't want to watch serialized shows. I'll just wait until they're done and decide if I want to watch them then.

Same. I might watch sitcoms and the like because I don't get that invested, but for anything dramatic I will always wait until the show it's done before watching it.

That happened to me twice. I was very bitter for a long time.

I always think shows ending on cliffhangers is mildly embarrassing because it always seems like the showrunners were too sure of themselves and the chances their show had for renewal. It always seems a bit arrogant.

Or movies that end with ridiculously obvious sequel-bait.

I used to be in a fandom where the showrunners KNEW they weren't getting another season, and still chose to leave it on a cliffhanger. And the whole last episode was a slap in the face to boot. I hated it and it just made them look like dicks.

I kinda like it sometimes to be honest

Cliffhangers are all cool and abrupt and IDK I just kinda like it

It's hard to consider this unreasonable when there's always something else to watch.

I actually don't mind all that much. At least that way, my love can't be ruined by a bad ending. With cliffhangers everything's still possible, and I let my imagination run free. And hope for talented authors to pick up the challenge and write some food fic. *g*
