I went for an hour-long run! Then I showered and I'm going to go get some Chinese food for lunch, then I have a mani-pedi appointment. After that I'm going to watch Claws on DVR (I haven't started the new season yet).

I picked up the toysplosion in my living room and now there's 95% less toy landmines to step on. I did dishes, and got some exercise and now I have the Rays game on.

So, not a whole lot.

Blugh. I have been awake for 20 hours, and am showing no sign of heading toward sleepytown.

And if I do get to sleep, I'll miss an event in a game I play (why, why, why they schedule it for past midnight in about 3/4 of the timezones the server serves, I do not know)....

Oh, yes, and I have just been reminded I've done something to the muscles in my neck and/or head that sends a horrible shooting pain through my head if I move it certain ways.

I met with my brother and sister-in-law, stories and gifts of limited edition comic books, LGBT+ YA novellas, vegan chocolate and celery were swapped around, and delicious veggie burgers were had. A very good day!

Okay. I went out for a bit to return some library books and it was a hellscape out there, so I'm not gonna go out for the rest of the day. At least I've got new books to read.

I should be working on fine tuning a costume for SDCC, or cleaning house, but I’m pretty much just melting into my couch and trying not to fall asleep before nightfall, because I have work for the next three days and don’t want to fuck up my sleep schedule. Blargh. I hate this weather and I feel awful. My fuzzbeast of a cat wants to sit on my lap and it’s too fucking hot.

Went to get groceries and have been melting in the heat ever since, it's a no-energy kind of weekend.

My wife was depressed so we cuddled and took a nap together and she's feeling better, I think.

Not bad. Started out rough because my stomach was hurting, but it's feeling a little better. Watched a great World Cup game where Croatia beat Russia. On my way to go watch Antman and the Wasp right now.

Watched Casablanca (one of my favorite movies) and went swimming, otherwise bored.

I watched Incredibles 2, which was reasonably fun.

Then I got up the courage to join a raid group for some legendary raids in Pokemon Go today. Usually I play solo, so it was nice to actually be able to easily take down five star raid bosses. I might actually do it again sometime.

ENGLAAAAAND. We actually beat Sweden! I don't think we'll make it to the final but haven't done this well for a loooong time.

Bit worried about work tomorrow as someone didn't turn up for her shift today and it's meant to be just the two of us tomorrow. So if she bails again I'll be single-manning the place, which will be a huge pain in the arse. On the plus side my brother is coming to visit after I finish, so I'm super excited. <3

Kind of disappointing to be honest. For the first time in years I hosted an event for a ship in one of my fandoms on tumblr. There was a fair amount of interest in it, but it's day two, and so far only one person besides me has actually participated. This is what I was worried was going to happen. tomorrow is the last day, and I don't even have anything to post for it.

I'm going to try again next year with some changes to how I get the word out, and a few other things. I don't think I advertised well enough. I just needed to vent a little, but I don't want to say anything on tumblr. This was a lot easier to do back when people still used Live Journal for stuff like this.

Pretty good, if slightly less productive than I wanted. I cooked and at least did the litters and took out the garbage/recycling.

I have to work in two and a half hours and the person who was working with me tonight 'called in sick' which if I believed I'd be falling for those IRS scams. I'm actually not upset, I can do the work myself and at least I don't have to work around someone else's slowness. >__>;;

Was pretty good. Went grocery shopping and got some fun, birthday week things. Got my nails done. Got the expensive mani/pedi with the great massage. And used the new color I bought, a pretty color I'm not really sure how to describe. Pinkish, silvery, sparkly, light bronzy? But it is pretty.

Also, I discovered a new show, 12 Monkeys. Going to have to resist the urge staying up all night watching.

I took my mom out for her birthday (only three days late, since her birthday's the 4th of July!) and we went on a fun walking tour about the secrets and symbolism in our legislature building. After that we went shopping and hand lunch. It was a ton of fun. We bought these 2 for 5 mystery bags from a store on a whim (surprises are fun) and from them we each got a pair of socks, a headband, and a pair of earrings. My mom's had a gorgeous leaf-motif headband in it and also a makeup brush, while mine had this ridiculous puffy keychain and some pretty gold and silver hair clips. I gave my mom my earrings since I don't wear them.

I also tried on a bunch of clothes and discovered that for the first time since I was a kid I can buy a normal sized belt and that I've lost somewhere between three and four shirt sizes. (I've lost sixty pounds since December, so this was hugely exciting to me!)
