I got it cut to my chin once, but it's so thick that I looked like a mushroom. It was the worst.

This is exactly me. I got tired of it getting in the way at work when it was just past my shoulders so I lopped it off. I'm still in the process of trying to grow it out again, but it looks so poofy and sticks out in all the wrong places that I clip it back all the time. Serves me right. :(
