I still like songs I liked as a teenager. It doesn't mean that I haven't changed.

I'm in my 50s. I read a ton of books as a kid (and still read a lot of books). Most of my childhood favorites no longer seem so amazing, but a few still do - though I suspect for different reasons.

Music, on the other hand, doesn't usually impress me much, but I find I often enjoy music I learned many years ago even more now. Maybe because music connects with a person in a more direct, subconscious way than written fiction?
