I've got nothing against Reylo as a concept (I'm not into it, but you do you, folks) but I'm getting really tired of these Rey/Kylo ~*~*~*parallels~*~*~* to Anakin/Padme posts (image sets mostly) showing up in the Anakin tag.

Especially when they aren't even good parallels.

IA so hard. I kind of like Reylo, but I was looking in the Padme tag last week and saw probably all the same shitty gifsets you mentioned. So stupid.

I can’t stand Reylo, but a good chunk of why is all the “Reylo as other ships (that I like or at least don’t mind)” fic/art/meta/tags out there. Are there similarities? Yes. Did Darcy (who I don’t like, but still) throw a murderous tantrum because Elizabeth refused to join him in killing her friends and family and taking over the world? No. Heathcliff I could see, but then, Rey is no Cathy. Also I kind of like early Padme/Anakin, shitty writing aside, and assume that if Padme met Darth Vader having never known Anakin Skywalker, they would not have settled into a life of happy domesticity.
