I love live symphony concerts. Rock concerts depend heavily on the venue, because sometimes the sound quality is SO BAD. It's like, why the fuck even bother when all you can hear is the bass. And I have to always remember to wear earplugs, because my hearing is stupid sensitive.

I saw Fall Out Boy a few months ago and the venue had the worst sound quality ever. What's worse, I forgot to bring earplugs and my ears hurt for days afterwards. I've been to concerts where I was super close to the speakers without earplugs and my ears didn't hurt nearly as bad as they did after seeing FOB. Shame because they put on a good show and played lots of my favorites, but the shitty sound is what I remember the most.

I kind of miss living in a college town where classical concerts are cheap. Also, pop concerts are loud and crowded for my comfort.

Likewise, but I was in the college philharmonic performing them.

I was second violin for five years and viola for three, so for me it's Strauss.

I don't think my maestro liked Strauss, because I don't ever remember having to play him.
