I always say that I don't judge chainsmokers, but secretly I do.
Especially those who complain it's expensive... I know the addiction is hard to shake for many people... but I see so many young people with small children who smell like ashtrays.

The worst is this stale sour smell some people just ooze everywhere they go. And nicotine stained fingers /shudder

My brother wasn't a chain smoker but I still judged him SO hard (and yelled at him) when he started smoking, because he literally skipped ALL of the peer pressure years and started smoking in his twenties. It made me more angry because when he and I were young, we begged my dad to quit smoking (and he did for us), so for him to start smoking after that was just like, seriously, wtf?

Thankfully he's been smoke free for about three months now so I make sure I tell him how proud I am that he quit.

My friend wasn't a chainsmoker, but she smoked heavily. She died a few month ago, before she reached 60. I was dreadfully upset at losing her. Then I was angry with her for throwing her life away. Then I thought, "She loved smoking more than her own life, more than her partner and her dog, more than me and her other friends. Why am I getting upset? She chose that." And I've felt kinda blank ever since - even while missing her.

In other words, yes, I judge smokers. Especially the ones who smoke around kids and animals, who have no choice but to put up with it.
