Nnn...no, it's not. That's not what's being asked for here.

"Ending" doesn't mean "graphic murder fantasy". Or at least, it doesn't have to. It can just as easily mean "Character gets a job offer in another state and leaves and never speaks to the other characters again".

This. This is why this bothers me so much. Nevermind that it's the sole woman from that group whose greatest sin is being bland, but it's a graphic fantasy that uses a historied stereotype (in fact, there's even books as far back as 1973 addressing said stereotype and I remember seeing it in a lot of places to show how awful the non-white island natives were as opposed to our white, civilized protags) with lots of violence against a woman.

That's different from, "Here's this elaborate and racist scenario involving a racist caricature of island natives."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't cannibalism an attested practice among some South Pacific tribes? And I'd also point out that the character flying to Thailand is something that happens in canon, not something introduced for the scenario

And the "cannibalistic island native" stereotype is a well known one seen in a lot of media. Quit defending this. It was over the top and borderline racist

cannibalism used to be practiced in Fiji and still is in parts of Papua New Guinea. I did not make that up.

And the stereotypical image of VARIOUS island cultures is "ooooh look at the UNCIVILIZED non-white cannibals, not like us civilized Christian white folk."

Missing the point.

It's a gross stereotype of island cultures that's got a long, long history. (seriously, you can find texts calling the stereotype out in the 70s about how it was treated as historical fact with little to back it up for as many places as supposedly practiced it, according to the white people who reported it.)

I rarely suggest that anyone lighten up, but...yeah. Not a bad idea in your case.
