Work, work, work. Such is the boring life of an adult in the Midwest. :P

Work is crazy, because we're preparing for a big business trip to Mexico. I've never been before and I'm taking a few extra days to explore Mexico City, which is exciting, but I dread the actual work stuff.

I'm off work for 3 days! I went for an hour-long run, came home and showered and dressed and went to the grocery store, which was nearly deserted (where I live, the best times to grocery shop are Tuesdays thru Thursdays between 1 and 3 pm). Got a Starbucks and came home and read some silly crack fic. Currently watching the NBA Tip-Off show and then will be watching basketball because today is opening day of the season, woohoo! I have a mani-pedi appointment tomorrow that I'm looking forward to, yay!

Went to class, got a 0 on an interpretive assignment. Went home, fell asleep, woke up, still felt like crap over the 0. And for being sick lol

I washed my car.

I had a dentist's appointment AND a doctor's appointment AND had to spend what little of the day I was at work training the girl who is replacing me since I'm leaving my job (my last day is Thursday).

It was a day. It can be over now, thanks.

Super boring temp gig

Now I'm going to watch actual real honest to God professional NBA basketball

Work. But I managed to ride my bike instead of taking Lyft so that was good.

Watched the death of YouTube in real time.

I did a dumb shit thing (maybe) and bought a graphics card off eBay from a seller with only one review.

Will I get a beautiful never-overclocked GPU for nearly $200 less than retail?

Will I get a brick?

Seeing as how I am commenting on Wednesday, my day was clearly busy. Lets see, yesterday I woke up at 7AM after not sleeping much. Dentist appointment at 8. Then work. Then I had a speech contest I was helping to set up for/run in the evening. Didn't get home until 9ish.

1. What do you pack?
2. What are you going to do? Eat? Sight-see? Where are you going to stay?
2. What/where would travel guides tell you to avoid?
3. What separates you from those tourists? The really obnoxious ones. What are things they do that piss the locals off?

We will reimburse your fictional trip with our fictional budget but please don't go overboard and try to stay in a budget.

Can I keep what I get there?

I'm going to Pokemon land! I will stay in a 5-star hotel in Celadon if it's original game, otherwise Lumiose City. I will pack my snappiest outfits, with shorts that are comfy and easy to wear. I'm avoiding Rocket hideouts because I'm not a licensed Pokemon trainer. I won't be one of those tourists that illegally captures the wildlife and tries to take it home with them unlicensed. I will however play rl Pokemon Snap.

1. Clothes for a week, money and water purification tablets.
2. I'm not going to eat anything made by Dibbler, that's for sure. See the usual sights, the Palace, Unseen University, Post Office, and I'd like to stay at Mrs. Cake's boarding house.
3. I'm not going to trust the travel guides. They are just after my money (and probably written by Dibbler).
4. What Would Twoflower Do? And then do the opposite.

1. Depends on which universe. Star Trek universe, I wouldn't need to pack anything. That would probably be the universe I'd most like to live in. But to visit for just a week, Star Wars would be cool (Middle Earth is my favorite, but I don't think I could cut it without tech or a bathroom). So for Star Wars, I'd pack clothes. No need for anything tech, the stuff there is better. I'd pack my vertigo meds.

2. Sight-see all the way. I'd love to see Coruscant. I'm a city girl at heart. But Alderaan (pre-destruction) would be beautiful. Naboo would be cool. Kamino just for all the water and then the cloning facilities would be fascinating. Exploring on Yavin could be fun. And I'd have to fly to Mustafar. No landing, probably, but watching it from above would be great. And Mon Calamari would be great.

3. Tatooine. Too hot and dry. I would hate it. Avoid anywhere where any of the various wars are going on. Avoid Jakku because another desert planet and in the middle of nowhere. Avoid Kessel obviously.

4. I try to learn about the local cultures and customs and to follow them as much as possible. Stay out of politics (if I can, would be hard to resist supporting the Rebellion or the Resistance).

Can be from any medium, just as long as they're your faves!

Steve Rogers, obviously. I love how he always tries to do the right thing and not just the lawful thing.

Vegeta. My first crush. And the reason I love asshole characters that have a soft center. Sometimes that center is very deep.

Stiles Stilinski. He is just a fun, smart ass. And he was too good for Teen Wolf.

Castiel. He was what got me into Supernatural! I wish they did more with his character but it is hard for the show to give focus to anyone who is not the bros.

Donna Noble. She was the best companion and did not deserve that ending.

Doug Eiffel from Wolf 359. He was such a funny, self sacrificing man. And he also deserved better. But at least his ending was more hopeful. :(
