I know. I get a similar feeling when people I know talk about all the awesome cosplay they get to do and cons they go to and inside I'm screaming I wanna go too, but I'm not gonna bug them about it because they have their established group and routine and I'm not gonna disrupt that. It's so silly because the worst I can do is ask to tag along, and the worst they can say is no. And it's not like they're preventing me from going at all.

And I constantly worry about being inauthentic as far as being a fan goes.

Yeah, I can relate. It sucks because on the one hand you want to hang out with them but on the other hand you feel like you don't belong. It's a very troubling feeling.
