Hetalia was pretty bad - ship wars, racism/real life politics,, very cliquey, had a lot of bad behaved fans at cons, etc etc

Ironically the cliqueyness made it tolerable at times cause you would just interact with the fans of the same groups of characters as you, so you could avoid a good amount of wank that way

Hetalia was definitely something else. I remember people using real world events to justify their ships and somebody told me my ship was wrong because Canada and Lithuania weren't allies in real life or something. It was weird.
