I am asexual so maybe that is part of it but I just don't get the dislike? He seems handsome enough to me? I mean everyone seems to fall at Cumberbatch's feet and he is hardly the regular dude. And he has that deep voice the ladies seem to love. I am often baffled by this. I think he is a good actor and executes his character well with the script he is given either way.

I don't understand it either? It's like every time someone who's looks are slightly different from the Hollywood mold gets fans who consider them attractive, it causes a HUGE backlash where everyone else can't shut up about how ugly or weird-looking they are and that their fans are crazy. And here I am thinking they just look like normal people.

I think he’s really attractive, but part of that may be because I have a hard time telling standard Hollywood hunks apart unless they’re playing a character with a really distinctive costume or makeup or whatever. I wish Kylo Ren didn’t skeeve me out so much, since I don’t usually watch films just for an attractive actor; the plot has to appeal too, and I don’t think Driver has done much else that’s fantasy or sci-fi.

To me, they're both kind of the same deal - their looks are somewhat divisive but their fans are really, really enthusiastic about them.

The thing about Driver isn't that he's unattractive per se. It's that he's kind of awkward in that way where he looks like he was put together from the spare parts of other actors. And, depending on the role he's playing, it can be a hot kind of awkward. It's certainly not the way he's depicted by the majority of fanworks though, where he's physically indistinguishable from every other fandom woobie with dark hair and cheekbones.
