Okay, so here we go. Just a little thing, but fun, plus you get stuff. :D

And before anyone asks, don't worry, we don't want to know who has like the deepest, darkest secret or anything like that. The point of this is to boost fandomsecrets watchers/participation. We've tried to get word about the comm out there, but you know, we need your help. And so, a referral contest!

How this works:

1. Grab people to join/watch/participate in the comm. Spam f-lists, post in comms that might be relevant, anything you can think of! New people submitting at least one secret is preferred, but hey, watchers are nice too!
2. Have them comment here with your lj username. They have to be logged in, but all comments are screened, so don't worry.
3. At the end of the month, March 31st, we'll count up how many people were referred by each person, and the top three get prizes. 1st picks first, 2nd picks second, 3rd gets whatever's left, it's pretty simple. :D

Winners get a choice of:

→ $15 LJ gift certificate from benightedfate. (C'mon! Money!)
→ A choice of graphics/icon set/fan art by shahnichan. (She's good at it!)
→ Customized LJ layout/profile layout/anything requiring coding by grayout. Or fanfiction if you want, that works too. *dies* (This is pretty much the "Case gets to be your slave for a day" choice. I'm useful! I swear!)

Fandom is inbred. Yeah, Caz ... I dunno, we have a long and often bizarre history. It's complicated to say the least. I went through a lot of emotional shit with her for about four years. It's sad that I really don't have much contact with her these days considering she and I used to talk on the phone for hours and write 20 page letters and such. Urgh ... dredging up things. Funny considering the other day I was contemplating writing this long journal entry touching on most of this stuff.

CidxVincent was mostly crazy angst-ridden fluff when I was reading/writing it and my stuff probably falls somewhere into that category though light on the fluff. If they started writing sometime after say ... October 2003 I probably never read their stuff. I was done with CidxVincent by then for the most part.

We seem to share a lot of similar opinions on stuff, mind if I friend you? I'm not as much of an evil bitch as I come across on here. ::dies..::

Heh, then you and I have much more in common than I thought. I was the exact same with Casey Lucas. We talked every night for two hours MINIMUM and logged over 500,000 words of RP via TEXT MESSAGE. I was stupid and oversensitive in high school, I admit, but she told me a lot of horrendous things that I think were lies and it gave me some serious issues.

I actually have a few questions, since you knew her so long, that still plague me years later which is incredibly lame. Do you have AIM?

Yeah, from what I gather it's pretty much the same now. It's sad, because both characters come to absolutions for themselves in the game, and fic where they have MOVED THE FUCK ON is always better than everything (99%) else.

Yeah, we RPed like crazy for hours and talked and wrote letters and sent each other random crap. I was starting out college, suffering between trying to be a 'good' person and student and stuff and being an inner bitch who really wanted the world to die at the time.

I do. AIM: enigmatic angst -- I used to RP Vincent and it stuck. Lol.

I probably have some questions on my own, as well. I never knew what to believe.

I could tell you why I still love the FF7 series but-- wait, nothing's stopping me and I can sum it up in very few words.

I don't look at fandom. At all. I draw it and enjoy it for myself, with one or two other friends at most, and for the most part, the other parts of the fandom don't even exist.

Yep, west coast. It's 4:39a.m here and I'm high on coffee after watching Marie Antoinette. Mind's too full of debauchery to sleep. *dies* Good morning!!

Can I do Crusader!Leon? I've thought of that in the past. We would be the awesome sex.

And Marie Antoinette is out on DVD now? The reel sent to the theatre here was stolen and so I never got to see it in the theatres, though I'm plotting to make myself a French Court dress for no real reason.

And yeah! It came out sometime in Feb, so I rented it from Netflix. *DIES* Oh god that made me crack up so badly-- STOLEN FILM REEL. That's wicked. The costumes were -awesome- in it I don't know what the story was though.. *DIES* If I had to sum it up, I'd say "Uh.. young girl, young king, sex, gambling, shopping, gossip, sex, love affair, cockblock, revolution." Yeah. *Dies* Coffee's gone to the brains now. :D

I know. I'm all excited as well. We must do this sometime.

I should rent it just for the pretty. How did it end? Did they end it with them killing her or what? As if history has spoilers. Lol.

SRSLY. ♥ wonder how warrior!Mathias would look. Bwehehe. One of my really close friends was right, cosplay does become really addicting. Thankfully I can't afford to do it all the time or lord only knows I'd never stop.

They only showed like, the 'good parts' of her life. It's mostly focusing on her, think of it like Tale of the Genji- all poetic and artistic and dramatic, kind of like an idle getaway? The older Marie Antoinette movie which was b&w was really sad, but this one's like a vacation. They never show her death or anything close to it, so it's worth watching for the shots of Versailles and amazing costume-work and imagery. But really, nothing too fantastic unless you really want to bother 'reading between the lines' and all that.

... god I'm rambling a lot. I KNEW I WAS AWAKE FOR A REASON. I wanted to explode! :D
