Notes:
Okay, so here we go. Just a little thing, but fun, plus you get stuff. :D
And before anyone asks, don't worry, we don't want to know who has like the deepest, darkest secret or anything like that. The point of this is to boost fandomsecrets watchers/participation. We've tried to get word about the comm out there, but you know, we need your help. And so, a referral contest!
How this works:
1. Grab people to join/watch/participate in the comm. Spam f-lists, post in comms that might be relevant, anything you can think of! New people submitting at least one secret is preferred, but hey, watchers are nice too! 2. Have them comment here with your lj username. They have to be logged in, but all comments are screened, so don't worry. 3. At the end of the month, March 31st, we'll count up how many people were referred by each person, and the top three get prizes. 1st picks first, 2nd picks second, 3rd gets whatever's left, it's pretty simple. :D
Winners get a choice of:
→ $15 LJ gift certificate from benightedfate. (C'mon! Money!) → A choice of graphics/icon set/fan art by shahnichan. (She's good at it!) → Customized LJ layout/profile layout/anything requiring coding by grayout. Or fanfiction if you want, that works too. *dies* (This is pretty much the "Case gets to be your slave for a day" choice. I'm useful! I swear!)
And that's it. Easy, right? Go! :D

It amuses/saddens me that everyone gets so uptight about the gays, when there's other "rules to be followed" in the same damn place that everyone constantly breaks but will supposedly go to hell for as well. I wouldn't be surprised if those are edited out of the bible now just to suit today's "beliefs" (more like wants).
Religion makes me angry sometimes.

10. Ahaha, oh yes. There are some writers that can pull off euphemisms really, really well -- but the majority can't, and it's good for lulz. D:

(Anonymous) 2007-03-04 01:15 am (UTC)(link)I was going to go back into it, really! Everyone I knew just LOVED it and rubbed in in my face how GOOD it was and made me just that much more bitter towards it. I was upset at first, but now I'm just glad to be out!

1. Being Christian doesn't mean you can't like shounen-ai. I consider myself a Christian and well ... we know my take on yaoi, and porn and well sex in general.
7. I don't blame you. I was never really in fandom, but I kind of liked the first game.
8. Ehm ... wut? Coming from someone who all but started the HojoxVincent following, what's so bad about it? I've never read it but whatever.
10. Years ago, my best friend and I read something concerning 'Harry's 12 inch wand' and then proceeded to wonder where the hell that 12 inch wand was going while holding a ruler up only to realize it was a 10 inch ruler. Good times.

Have you ever met this artist before? Or know the reason behind the comic? Because it makes me wonder how you could described her with the words you used. 'Sucks ass'? 'Sick freak'? If I had a nickel for the number of times somebody's run their mouth out of their ass without realizing what's really going on I'd be a damned millionaire.
Not liking something is cool. Harshing on somebody to somehow make yourself look bigger and better isn't. Respect is earned and respect is given. And right now you don't have much of it from me. But, you probably won't listen. Still I hope you learn even a little bit from this.

First off, how do you know the squid's a male? What if it's a female?
Second... isn't that bestiality, not slash?
9. How damn, yep, some of the characters in the second season look pretty cute. Though it looks like fun. :3

You know, it's pretty sad to let other people make you give up something you like.

They're not man enough to handle the KH fandom >:[ *bricked*
Besides, the KH fandom is hardly the worst one out there. I still think the FF7 fandom is the Anti-Christ of all fandoms.

Many times, a heftier body type can actually give someone an advantage with cosplay.
no subject
(Anonymous) 2007-03-04 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)Being too thin is also a problem but that isn't directly linked to my cosplays and therefore not a secret. If you don't have the body type and the general 'look' to be cosplaying a certain character then you should move a long and find someone else to cosplay no matter how much you like the character. I wouldn't cosplay someone who was insanely tall or looked like a twelve year old girl.
I think too many people fail to get the point of this place. It's not this general debate on whether or not fat people should cosplay. In my personal experience I do cosplay a lot of characters usually done poorly by overweight unattractive girls and as I said in the secret my friends say that people will start thinking I do it on purpose because of this continuing trend, when honestly it's just the fact that I like the characters and know I can cosplay them very well. And yes, by default I'm usually considered better because I'm considered 'pretty' in most generalized terms because I don't have a 54 inch waist to go with the double Ds. I'm small, I'm curvy, I pull it off better. This wasn't a secret that overweight people shouldn't cosplay, but ... in my experience I don't do it purposely, but I do still know I'm doing it 'better' by default.
I loathe stick thin cosplay of characters. Or people too tall for characters. Body type, height, look should all be considered ... but again that has NOTHING to do with the secret. Kthx.

Drama queens and attention whores are so annoying. Crawl somewhere and rot in silence, please.

As his thick wand of man-flesh throbbed with primordial magic, dispelling the barrier and giving him entrance into her chamber of secrets, Orsino gazed lovingly into Bathilda's eyes, which were limpid pools of darkness; a single, solitary tear trickled glistening down her porcelain cheek, and he tenderly kissed it away with velvet lips.
