I love Lisa because she's that way. Come on, she's only eight. She's overly idealistic sometimes and even though she's book-smart, she doesn't really understand the way the world works. She's been pretty level-headed and realistic in the "future" episodes and I don't see her being much different.

128. I have to admit to being in the 'never really thought about it much' camp, but you do have a point there.

141. I can't really say for sure, since I only started feeling mildly sympathetic towards him after his death, but it probably has to do with the woobie factor. That and he's an interesting character, if not necessarily likeable. I mean, Lulu and Suzaku are my favourite characters, but I wouldn't necessarily say I found them likeable - sympathetic at times, but it's more that they're interesting.

I think it's actually a very humanizing look at WW2--and history in general. I can understand the squicky reaction; I think everyone's first impulse upon hearing it is "wtfno", but it completely won me over in execution. I can't find it offensive at all, really.

No country is really demonized. All of them have their very good and very bad points. Sometimes they have awesome "bosses" (fuck yeah Maria Theresa) and sometimes they have terrible "bosses" (uh, Hitler), but it's an interesting spin on history by framing it as interpersonal conflicts.

159- You know, the "Weight/Looks doesn't/don't matter" thing goes both ways. If they're your friends, they're your friends for a reason, and it's likely not cause you're pretty. I have a fandom (And RL friend) who's absolutely gorgeous, and the only reason it matter is cause it helped me remember who she was when she first friended me. Besides that...she's just my friend like everyone else.

112: Why? I know alot of people who don't give half a damn for this show. Take my sister, for example. Every time I watch it, she groans, "Not Code Gay-Ass again!" *lol* Honestly, I just turn it on so I can listen to Johnny Bosch and Yuri Lowenthal speak while I'm sewing. Yes, I AM that shallow. Hell, I only tune in to some shows just to listen to Crispin Freeman speak. Srsly, his voice could melt asbestos panties off a nun. Especially as Haji in Blood+... yum.

Not at all! I think it's a little silly how it is that you can't like two pairings which both have one of the same characters, in fandom. I mean, why not? There are interesting dynamics in both 'ships.
