127. Yay, a Haunting Ground secret!

159. I looked it up too once, and was also disappointed when it turned out to be fictional. xD; Well, there's always Alaska? You could go to some random island and tell yourself it's Shadow Moses. Not the same obviously, but it's something?

186. Awwww!

Couldn't agree more. I don't think it applies across the board, and I don't think *all* his fans are like that; but *some* of the vile little bratty fuckwits who call themselves Jonas fans are guilty of quite disgusting behaviour at times, to the point of being rude and aggressive towards other cast members. Were I Jonas, I'd be ashamed to have those particular little fucktards as fans - and *he* probably does, too. :¬}

I never thought I'd see the day when two of my favorite performers from the Ren Faire would be posted here. This is awesomeness.

150. You don't even need Photoshop to make readable secrets. Seriously, guys.
155. Ow, my brain.
192. ...that picture is awesome. I don't know how that crossover would go, though.
194. I love Japan in general for their bad Engrish.

165. LOL that's kind of awesome, I bet they would have FLIPPED if they knew you were listening.

188. Woah. Uhm...

Will there be no end to Heath/Joker secrets? Frankly, they're getting incredibly dull.

195. Fucking WORD.

101. YAAAY NISHI SECRET

103. Wow. Maybe you could try harder…or are you one of those people who can’t pass no matter what they do?

110. YOU WIN.

116. Me too.

148. Love again. Plus OF COURSE Gantz fans are tolerant of bloodkink and guro! IT’S IN THE SHOW!!!

152. Day of the Nishi secrets?

162. True, but I guess the creators believe in the Power of Love.

165. Wow…

193. I cried during the first few episodes too!

134. That so becomes so much more tragic and so much BETTER when you realise that Ed is technically a child soldier...

[identity profile] sanae.livejournal.com 2008-08-30 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
117. something something I forget how it starts
TO DENOUNCE THE EVILS OF TRUTH AND LOVE
TO EXTEND OUR REACH TO THE STARS ABOVE
JESSE
JAMES
TEAM ROCKET BLAST OFF AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT
SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE TO FIGHT
MEOWTH THAT'S RIGHT

138. I guess it's the fact that KNK is a (fairly hard to get through IMO) novel series rather than a VN... But yeah, I dunno why the movies aren't more popular. At least they're considered better than the Tsukihime anime... :P

155. That used to always come to mind for me too until I figured out that "uke" (in yaoi) is pronounced more like "OO-kay". (THE MORE YOU KNOW?)

120 - That depends how you judge 'good' - interesting and effective animation doesn't have to conform to typical conventions of what is 'good', i.e. pretty artwork and smooth animation.

131 - I'm envious. I'd love to have that sort of dream about him.

146 - OH GOD IT WOULD BE SO GOOD. FUND IT, NOW.

172 - Lol. I WANT FABULOUS~

108 - Anita Blake and Twilight are like, completely utterly different, and if you adore Anita I don't think you could get into Twilight. :) Though I did like Anita Blake for a while, in storywise it really pwns Twilight, but the latter focuses almost solely on relationships so, it's really, not the same. :)
144 - I'm an anime-only watcher and always try to stay away from the manga, though the fuss chapter 50 created made me almost break my "stay away from spoilers" promise. Weird thing? I'm not at all mad about getting spoiled because this news MAKES ME INCREDIBLY HAPPY. So you shall not feel alone.
173 - Ah, I agree with you. I think Lavi/Linalee is more probable, reasonable and logical. But I don't know anymore because I'm an obsessed Allen/Miranda fan with great delusions. :D
181 - Best TDK secret ever. Seriously, the best and the only amusing one.

163...

...has clearly never read the actual book of Casino Royale, and thus has missed entirely the series-altering signficance of (and heartbreaking story behind) Vesper's sacrifice. Bond would have certainly been killed if not for her suicide, and through her death and love (in equal parts) is he able to survive and carry on. Furthermore, who he becomes isn't the "omfgasshole" I'm sure you're imagining via the movies, but rather a beaten, broken man who's been through hell in every imaginable sense. A much more interesting protaganist, I'd hope you would agree, rather than just another sappy crappy happy ending. Vesper was far, far more than just "a bitch" and if you'd read the books, you'd understand that.

tl;dr - way to miss the point completely

Re: 163...

(Anonymous) 2008-09-02 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
I actually find this to be very interesting, because you're very right if you're implying (in a roundabout way) that the movie was ambiguous about why Vesper needed to kill herself. And no-- I haven't read the books, so that's a separate fandom entirely, really. I thought it was pretty obvious I was talking about the movies.

Somehow, your comment managed to condescend and make me want to read the books, which is an interesting balance I don't usually see. Usually irascible commenters aren't so obviously literate and passionate about their subject matter, so I think this is a compliment for you.

Re: 163...

[identity profile] schwarzbrille.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it was a rather knee-jerk reaction to seeing one of my favorite characters (in the books, anyway) called a bitch without having her full story told. Granted, that's the fault of the movie and not OP, but it's frustrating all the same that such a strong character was yet again turned into little more than a fleeting love interest, and whose sacrifice was turned into naught but a means of disposal so they can shuttle in the next hottie in the next film. You're right that they are two different fandoms, but it's a bit aggravating, as a fan of the books, that the entire Bond "fandom" is solely based on the movies, you know?

My own snide remarks aside, you should absolutely check out the books. They're short, sweet, fast, FUN, and present the most incredible, complete portrait of Bond that can be found. The movie portrayals are like facets of that core character - they kind of get parts of it right, but only Fleming gives you the real Bond. Not to mention the brilliant action, kick-ass lady cohorts, and scary-as-fuck villainry. And hell, if it helps to imagine him as Daniel Craig, then there's no harm in that. ;)

107. CAN WE BE FRIENDS? I'm immensely curious.

165. Wow. Coolest teacher ever.

(Anonymous) 2008-09-01 07:13 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry about that, but I'm also curious. Did he say or do something to you that made you feel that way or was it more of a vibe thing?
