102. Good on you. Fans, and people in general, are terrified of what they see as "weakness". That terror leads them to lash out at people who express normal, healthy human emotions (let alone people who are struggling with mental health problems - social anxiety, self-harm, etc). (and WORD to the sentiment... though ALL the fangirls for the Robin Hood boys frighten me a little with how quibbly and petty they are... I think Jonas's are marginally the worst).

I write Robin Hood RPF, and must be one of the very few people who do so the majority of the time for pairings that are het (call me a walking cliche, but I AM a bit of a sucker for Jonas/Lucy...) and OH MY GOD the wank I get off Jonas fans for it; the vast majority of the ones who read RPF only want slash, I suspect, because they find the idea of Jonas being with a bloke instead of a woman less threatening. It's almost as bad as the people who REALLY want Jonas and Lucy to be together in real life - or BELIEVE that they are already together and THAT'S why Robin and Marian have chemistry on screen. (Note to fangirls: It's called ACTING).

I don't quite see how a man being with another man is less threatening. Because, hypothetically, those things are possible. And I mean really, really hypothetically. I can reconcile that with a simple matter of "perhaps their universe has different laws of physics", which, according to one model of the multiple-universe theory, is entirely possible.

What I can't reconcile is the idea that something is finite in every single permutation of reality, without variance. Hence why the 'soulmates' thing bothers me, but the galaxy Frisbee does not.

Going by pure looks, they make a good couple. But emotionally? No way. Hiruma is better suited to someone who is EXTREMELY levelheaded and sensible, which is why he works best with Mamori(in canon, anyway). Someone who won't let him walk all over them. Which...with Sena, he would.
