If you're going to put the text of the secret all over the image so that it blocks characters' faces to point where you can't really see who it is, maybe include the fandom and characters or ship in the secret submission?

DA Honestly, I wish everyone would include info unless it's like... SUPER fucking obvious (like you'd have to live under a rock to not know this is an Avengers secret for example).

What show gets a bad reputation that you passionately disagree with the critics about?

Inspired by #1. Is there a show/game/series/etc. that is frequently criticized (for being offensive, sexist, etc.), but you feel like the critics miss the point (or exaggerate/nitpick their issues with?)

I felt that way about Banana Fish, when people criticised it for having lots of rape. But it felt like the series wasn't using rape as a shock tactic/fanservice, it was a story literally about victims overcoming sexual abuse and the oppression of abusers. If you strip it of the mafia stuff, that's really what the story was - especially since the author allegedly wrote it as a response to her own experience being raped.

Hot take: I don’t think Hamilton is racist. Obviously this is not the majority mainstream opinion but there were a LOT of people in fandom who said that...

I've seen The Handmaid's Tale (the TV show) criticized for being bleak and depressing, but I think that's most of the point. They may have gone a touch over the top with the way they depicted the Colonies but it's meant to be hard to watch and hard to think about. If that's not somebody's thing, fine, but I don't really understand it as a criticism of the show. Game of Thrones isn't my thing because I found it too bleak and depressing, but that doesn't mean I think they should make it differently.

Not much! I showered, got coffee, had lunch, watched Star Wars on TNT (still watching it, lol), got something for dinner and a mango smoothie. Tomorrow is laundry and grocery shopping day.

I went to the bank, got laundry taken care of (which is why I had to go to the bank, because I didn't have enough quarters) did some paperwork and watched a few of my favorite TV shows (MST3K, Frasier, Archer and GBBO) and a friend is coming over later because my roomie is helping him w/ some computer issues. Not real fascinating, I know.

She’s always seemed iffy to me with her tans/filters and blaccent. I can’t believe there was no intent at all behind seeming ethnically ambiguous/Latina. She definitely follows the long tradition of being celebrated for exploiting black culture/talent by the same people who ignore/mock black artists, etc. Seeing her take it off and kinda do “whiteface” (fake freckles, etc) for Vogue was funny/sad. But her newest album cover is beyond to me, she just outright went for the ashy look. It’s so blatant how is this not a bigger deal? That can’t be handwavd as Italians tan!!
