177. Read it and loved it. Oddly, was thinking about it today and wishing there was a sequel. Sometimes though, I don't seek out fandoms cause I don't want them to ruin good things that I enjoy. It's weird to see a secret about it, I thought I was the only one that read it!

113. I'm still kind of surprised that Meat and Something Borrowed didn't salve fandom's loathing of Gwen for her dodgy treatment of Rhys in S1. Naive of me, I know. But you can forgive me for imagining that Gwen fiercely standing up to Jack on Rhys' behalf, even being willing to leave TW rather than retcon him, and her dogged, nay, slightly insane determination to marry him - "he stood by me even when I didn't deserve him" or words to that effect - might have made some difference. Eheu. In the fangirl mind, Gwen will always be retconning Rhys, just as Owen will always be using that fucking spray.

That said, I'd watch a Rhys 'n' Andy spinoff like a shot. Redheaded Welsh bois vs IDK cannibals or whatever: I am there.

168. V is far more rational and far less cynical than the Joker. The masses would not consider his philosophy insane, only his methodology - which, to be fair, is quite insane, thank you very much.

I think Joker, Tyler and V hang out every so often. They sip tea, make small talk, rate eachother's outfits and then go blow up an important building while secretly plotting to kill eachother.

I really hope so. Though it'll possibly make him more evil and thus scarier. I don't fear him at the moment, I'd be quite happy to follow him. Though if his potential plan involves him stabbing Aizen in the back (literally and repeatedly, for bonus points) then all bets are off and even if he turns out to be the craziest motherf*cker ever to have lived I will be his unwavering slave for all eternity.

Probably it's because Kubo doesn't really care about pairings, he just wants his characters for himself. (See latest color image of Ichigo. If that's not the result of a raging man-crush I don't know what else it could be.)

These secrets make me sad. Why must everything be “oh so very exclusive”? It’s possible for something to be ridiculous and still compelling and believable or enjoyable from both superficial and artistic standpoints.

Personally, I love Gurren-Lagann because it manages to be all sorts of things at the same time, but still manages to not seem like it's trying to be too much. It's a homage show and it's a comedy show, it's serious and emotional and it's got some depth, it’s a surreal piece with plenty of visual abstraction and kabuki-like writing that works on levels similar to Mind Game. Nia is a perfect example of this dicothomy: she is outlandish and completely overdone but at the same time both a well-rounded character that progressed plenty through the show and an allegoric piece of symbolism that works within the context of the narrative.

121. That's sorta how I feel about it, too. I'm sort of torn, half of the jokes I find really funny, but the other half I just find crude or stupid. Also, the only character I actually like is Meg, who's constantly made the buttmonkey of the show. I'd much rather watch a comedy like Futurama, where you actually catch yourself caring about the characters even amongs the crazy humor and parodies.

143. LOL, It's just because Fakiru is a more popular pairing, I think. Not that I LIKE that, I actually prefer Mytho/Rue (I used to like the two equally, but I"ve gotten tired of Fakiru), and...think they'd be way hotter with smut than Fakir/Ahiru would. So yeah, I don't really get WHY there's...no smut at all for them. Fakiru smut doesn't really disturb me (if they're aged up--when Ahiru ISN'T aged up...yeah, then it gets a little squicky), I'm just sorta like "been there, done that."
