For one thing, there are specific markets for them. :> It's also possible to get them published outside those specialty circles, too- I've seen a few really good-looking ones, even a few in the Teen section, and there's a book with a plot based around transsexuality called Trans-Sister Radio that I REALLY want to pick up- point being, it's not impossible, keep trying! ♥

At least with Claude, they want to bring him back, but it's more an issue of actor availability than anything else. Granted, that may be a problem with Rena Sofer as well, but I doubt they're even interested in bringing Heidi back -- they seem more inclined to just have her out of the way asap so they can make Nathan hook up with whichever character Ali Larter is playing at the moment. I always love seeing marriage portrayed as an irritating, inconvenient little fly that must be swatted so that the characters can have hot flings whenever they want. *alsobitter*
