I'll take things that didn't happen for $500

You don't think it's possible for someone to get a secretive job and have an affair because of the nature of a stressful job? OK.

(Anonymous) 2019-02-16 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
My general reaction, when someone is very dramatic and secretive about a very uncommon unusual experience on the Internet, is to take it with a very large grain of salt.

That doesn't mean it's impossible, just unlikely

(Anonymous) 2019-02-16 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Having regrets is dramatic. Making them interesting for this comm more so.
I can't convince you and I don't care to. Just wanted it off my conscience as much I could.

Yes, exactly. I mean, I work in a medical field so you could technically describe my job in the same terms - it's government work, there's a lot of secrecy, it hugely affects people's lives, there's major penalties if I breach the secrecy, it's very stressful at times. But it's also a pretty common job.

(Anonymous) 2019-02-16 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, THAT'S what people are finding difficult to believe. Not the whole "I had a hot sexy govt job that was like Torchwood and saw shit that would make your head spin but can't tell anyone about it" bit.

(Anonymous) 2019-02-16 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I ruined lives, man. My job ruined lives. Sorry you're not getting the in depth explanation you want. Government jobs are like that.

(Anonymous) 2019-02-16 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Did you have a license to kill

(Anonymous) 2019-02-16 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't ask for and don't want any explanation, thanks.

(Anonymous) 2019-02-16 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Do the world a favor and don't, like, be around other humans because you're an asshole.

(Anonymous) 2019-02-17 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Because I corrected someone who made an incorrect assumption about what I wanted? I wasn't even impolite about it. I didn't, for example, call them any names.
