Off work today, yay! Doing some laundry and will be having dinner with my husband at our favorite Italian restaurant later this evening. Just a nice, quiet, chill kinda day.

Worked and now I'm about to do some cleaning because plumbers are coming tomorrow and I don't want the house to be a mess (although they probably don't care, but I do) then probably heading to bed early because I only got a few hours of sleep last night and am super tired.

I need something to with my hands for 6-7 a week. I want to take up a crafting hobby. Right now, I am trying to decide between crochet or knitting. I mostly want to make scarves, hats, and maybe some blankets if I get good enough.

Which would you suggest I go with? I have no preference towards either.

I think crochet is easier all around, but then I never really took to knitting.

I will admit that there are some truly delightful things you can only make by knitting, though.

Knitting is rather easy and it is much easier on your wrists (I have a wrist issue that prevents me from crochetting).

Knitting is slightly harder to pick up at the start, but there's a lot more you can do with it, and in my opinion, the end results are a lot prettier. The stitches just look a whole lot neater and it makes the whole piece look more polished as a result.

ESL people: Why did you learn English?

I was watching Fullmetal Alchemist on Netflix - yes, there is a live action movie, and yes, it is as bad as it sounds - and I remembered why I decided to learn English back in 8th grade. I wanted to be able to understand porny doujinshi translated into English as I could not read Japanese.

So I went on the Internet to find some of them for nostalgia's sake. I can actually understand them now - well, except from the weird syntax but I guess that's par for the course with fan made translation. I was really surprised at how rapey they could get though.
