That Vanya’s actress on The Umbrella Academy is the same actress who played Juno.

I have some people who I can't recognize unless I imdb them every single time, but Ellen Page is like... so distinctive to me that I lol'd a little at you calling her 'Vanya's actress'.

My friends lol’d at me too since Juno’s one of my favorite movies and now that I know it’s Ellen Page, I feel dumb for not realizing it sooner. XD

PewdiePie is some Youtuber and not, in fact, the name of a My Little Pony.

I mean, it is not huge but I just worked out that the first Detective on Death in Paradise was murdered. I thought he just went back to England. This happened years ago. I can't believe with all the series after and another two detectives I never realised what happened to the first.

The word "caveat" is pronounced "CAV-ee-aht," not "cuh-VEET." I'm a native English speaker, but I only saw the word in writing for years and just recently heard it out loud. Or just realized it was the same word, because I was watching something with closed captions.

That's okay. I thought "rapport" was spelled "repoire" for years because I never saw it in print, only heard it spoken. :)

I had a similar problem with "segue." I saw it in writing and always thought it was "seh-GOO" but then heard people say "SEG-way" and finally figured out from context that this was the same word (this was before Segway scooter thingies were a thing, but I'm not sure that would have cleared things up any faster.)

OMG, me too! It's not a word I use much at all, so it was never really an issue, but for the longest time I thought they were different words.

That in 'Baby Got Back' when they reference 36" 24'" 36" only if she's 5'3, they're referring to 'Brick House'.
