Oh yes. It is really, really bad.
And yet I would love a modernised adaptation.

I feel like a new version with some of the cheesiness turned down and animation that isn't complete garbage could work.

God, do you remember that ONE FUCKING EPISODE with Botan in it where they spent the entire budget on the animation

it was literally the only decently animated episode in the entire fucking series and it was also the most boring one too rofl
