Re: Worst/weirdest takes you've seen

I recall some years back, there was a person in one of my fandoms who seemed to believe as gospel truth that a fairly new comic series was the worst thing to ever blight our fair franchise, and spent a lot of time trying to tear it apart. Their crowning glory was when they made a long post ripping on the latest issue as having bad characterization because the characters treated each other differently now than in the beginning of the series. They casually mentioned in the middle of their rant that they had skipped over the three issues where the characters have a series of Important Bonding Moments. They didn't take kindly to all the people informing them of their mistake, either. It was a hoot.

As a bonus, they wrote fic specifically to "fix" all the problems they saw with the comic, and it was godawful.
