This show vindicates my Hippie preacher from Sunday School when I was a small child. A lot of the things said about going to Heaven/doing the right thing (in the series) are things he told us kids.

oh, op. I feel this way about the show. I'm not involved in the fandom so excepting that part, I relate to this more than I can say.

It wasn't the most exciting line up when I saw it initially. But I try to remember there have been times when the actual stand up comedians have been shit at a particular task (even after you thought they'd be amazing at it) and also some of the contestants I didn't expect much from have surprised me.

I also haven't necessarily been familiar with someone's work and ended up really enjoying them regardless.

So basically I'm going to be cautiously optimistic that this line up might surprise us. They all do still have comedy backgrounds anyway.

IDK I feel like I can imagine it in the abstract, and maybe some people even do deserve it, but when you actually think about the details and the reality and what the lived experience of doing something like that would be like... I just have no desire at all to actually do it. It makes me sad.
