I think this came up in a "secrets you're too lazy to make a post for" threads, and they specifically referenced the way Garnet and Amethyst fuse with Amethyst jumping into Garnet's crotch... but that happens once? Like, I'm pretty certain that only happens once in the whole series, so...?

For iffier ones:

Feet, maybe. (Rose, a big woman, has bare feet, and White Diamond, the biggest woman of all, wears sandals.)

Heels/fendom imagery.

Being swept off one's feet isn't a fetish, but it's really recurrent in the show

That's kind of what I was thinking. Like yes, these things can be fetishized but they can also exist in a non-fetish context?

Yeah, this. Sometimes I get the feeling that people conflate an artist/writer's style and favorite themes with them having a fetish. Also I kinda side-eye when the term is applied to things in kids' shows, especially when those shows have 'non-mainstream' themes in them.

I'm also pretty sure that the only way to NOT come off like a foot fetishist if you're designing characters, is to make sure your characters' feet are off screen all the time or just drawn as indistinct shapes at the ends of their legs.

Seriously, bare feet, sandals, heels, boots... all fetishy. There is no non-fetishy footwear, and bare feet are also suspect.

Polymory, maybe? This is pretty obvious in later seasons with Fluroite, the repeated jokes (you like marriage so much we all married each other, this is my mom who is Alexandrite and made up of several different moms.)

That being said, most of the stuff listed here isn't really inherently sexual at all?
