Re: What's your opinion on casual misandry?

I don't think it does feminist any favors, that's for sure.

I don't think "I support men's rights...to shut the fuck up" is that bad, especially when it's in reaction to something specific where men are opining in favor of infringing on women's rights. But calling men trash and saying things like "fuck all men" really sucks.

However, I also think that if a man really is the good guy most men believe they are, he should try to have a little compassion. Spend a second considering why some women are so very angry, and do his best to just let it go. Because if the multitude and variety of injustices that are perpetrated against women were to be perpetrated against men? Lets be real here, there wouldn't just be anger, there'd be bloodshed.

No there wouldn't, because that would be a world where the patriarchy doesn't exist and men wouldn't be able to get away with causing bloodshed because they were mistreated.

Unless you're one of those gender essentialists who believes men are inherently more violent than women, but in that case, have fun being wrong I guess.

Men absolutely murder and commit physical assualt at a higher rate than women. This is across cultures and even with the advent of more accessible means of killing, so the physicial advantage on average that men have over women means less.

Why do you think this is a universal trend, if it's not inherent?
