My machine’s ten years old; I just haven’t used it much and am having a hard time getting it to embroider silk instead of tearing it up, even using stabilizer. I wish I could use washaway iron on stabilizer, which works well, but it’d ruin the hand/texture of the fabric.

With Bran being unable to father children, I'm guessing that he'll adopt and Westeros will have a royal-adoption-vaguely-based-on-merit system like the later Roman Empire. So at the very least there'll be no more crazy rulers with a divine right to the throne.

OMG I had no idea this was coming! But if it's a prequel, we know they fail and that's kinda dark...

I get that. I was thinking about when the season 8 collection will be released... I'll probably end up rewatching the series but end at episode 8.2 and ~~pretend the Night King got them all because the alternative wasn't much better~~ read only fanfiction that ignores any show canon beyond that. Because. well. no word on TWoW.

Yeah, I have never understood that fear or the obsession with an afterlife either. I understand fearing death because you're afraid of dying before you get to do all the things you want to do in your life, but death itself is just like going to sleep. Like you said, you go to sleep and just stop existing. There's no reason to be concerned about what happens next because you no longer exist.

Thankfully, I am in a town and out of the flood plain. But if it gets too bad, the roads will be taken over. We have had two roads be permanently closed because they collapsed.

With the ending, it felt like "Here's the carrot, and HERE'S THE STICK WE'VE BEEN HOLDING BEHIND OUR BACK." Like, what was the point except to sucker Jaime/Brienne fans?

I can't speculate about what she is or isn't putting in her body but what she put on her body is absolutely fucking awful.

Agreed. Sansa didn't come off well and Dany seemed justified in her anger until she sacked the city. It was just sloppy writing.

I'm atheist, formerly Christian, and I fear the non existence because I love existing so much, I can't stand the idea is letting go. Maybe when I'm old I won't care as much, but not existing compared to existing longer than I have is a very sad thing to me. I love life and my friends and the things we get to experience so so much. :( I wish I could still believe in an afterlife, but the Christian idea of it just seems so cruel to non believers that I became atheist because of it.

I was raised a Lutheran, and as a kid I tried *very hard* to believe and be a Christian and all, but it was just...not for me. I could never make that 'leap of faith' and just 'believe' without proof.

Plus, also, it was boring as fuck, kind of creepy, and not friendly to women.

If I find out someone is a 'true believer', I do think a little less of them, especially if they start going on and on, trying to talk me into 'considering' the faith, etc. I just have zero interest, and wonder wtf is going on in their brain that they can believe that stuff, or need to.

Oh and - I feel the same no matter the religion, but most strongly about the 'big three', since they seem to spend more time being asshats than anyone else.

*shrugs* Kinda harsh, maybe, but most of the Christian I've known/know are kinda jerks, or willfully ignorant, and I'm not happy to be around that.

As someone who remembers how much the fandom hated Sansa for being "weak" and pitted her against Dany and Arya, the Good Strong Female Characters who could fight and take names, I agree. I hope they're embarrassed or pissed off. It's what they deserve.
