I'm so sick of people who think patriotism means support America, no matter what, right or wrong." That's not what patriotism is. Why can't they see that it is possible to love your country and want it to be better. To love what your country could be and to see all the ways it could be better and to want it to be the best it can be.

Exactly. Realizing that would also mean not thinking that wanting your country to be better means "Hate your country and shame everyone in it for existing and especially for celebrating the 4th of July."

Personally I don't think those things, though I can understand why people who have seen the worst that America has to offer would. I admit I had difficulty celebrating yesterday because of the condition of our country right now. But we can do better. Our ideals are good (mostly). The image that has been sticking in my mind is the Statue of Liberty and the quote on the plaque there. That's the ideal America that I believe in. That's the America I want to fight for in the courts and online and with everything I say and write.

I don't hate America. I hate parts of what we are right now. I hate the genuinely evil things our government is currently doing. But I have hope because I believe that we can do better.

I get so pissed at my sister when she hands me a bill and tells me it's late and says I should pay it ASAP if I don't want more fees. Yeah, I'd pay it on time if she would consider that she never gave me the bill statement.

If my lazy coworkers think I'm a snitch or something I don't have fucks to give. I mostly don't care if ppl like taking too many bathroom breaks or come back from breaks late, not a boss so it's not my place to say. However, if someone slacks off that other people pick up the lazy person's work, fuck that bitch. The rest of us have to do YOUR work and you sit back and keep acting like you care so much about your job when the boss comes around? Go fuck yourself.

THIS. I've heard some of my coworkers whining about why do I get so many hours when they get so few, etc., and the bitchy part of me wants to tell them that it's because I actually a) show up on time and don't call out unless I'm genuinely too sick to come in, b) stay late if it's needed, and c) do my goddamn work while I'm here. Amazing, they want to give me more hours because I'm actually responsible.

I'd be happy to have so few hours, but I also currently live with my parents. Get paid but not have your entire life taken up.

I hate it when people don't take responsibility for their own shortcomings. Like they couldn't possibly be crap at their job, it must be some OTHER reason why they're not getting more hours. Frankly, this sounds like a poor management issue, too.

I’m a little irritated that my friends bought their Anime Expo badges literally the day after the mailing deadline. I must’ve told them for two months when the deadline was and I can’t figure a polite way to tell them that I don’t want to wait with them while they pick up their badges since I got mine mailed out last month.

Don't make a big thing of it. Just cheerily wave as you walk off saying, "Meet you guys at [meeting place] later!"

My new checkcard still hasn't come through the mail and my old one is expired. They supposedly sent the replacement a month ago but it got returned to them because when I changed my address on the internet (I can see the page and it's correct, so yes, I put it in correctly), they somehow fucked it up and I didn't find out until I called this week. I'm running low on money and I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. They stated my insurance should take care of anything but if I'm asked to copay anything, I'm basically fucked. Maybe if I'm lucky they'll take a check.

Also, I'm sick of being sick, and not knowing what days I'll be sick or why.

My Dad watches Netflix on the family computer, in the middle of the house, with not headphones and at full volume.
He is currently watching Glee.

I want to do a murder.

LOL!

No wifi on the bus yesterday. There was a miserablen boring 3-hour trip. I was promised wifi! in fact I chose this company over the other one because a) slightly cheaper, b) better wifi when it actually works--which it didn't at all. (Their rivals block your access after 30 minutes no matter what. Which sucks endlessly when on 12-hour trip. But not even that?)
