ms paint is hard, you guys

The direction Pokémon is taking is incredibly disappointing.

Mainline games? I kind of agree. I don't even feel strongly enough to get Sword or Shield. I don't want to go "Kids these days", and I'm glad citizens of Pokemon World learned about axes and flashlights so we don't have HM slaves, but what's wrong with a little challenge?

I'm not up-to-date, so what's the direction that you're disappointed with? Not all the mons being in the new game?

Isn't that really a matter of Pokemon taking the exact same direction? lol

That's part of it, yeah. I use the new Pokémon so the dex cut doesn't affect me much, but revealing that fact after billing Pokémon Bank and Home as a way to always keep your Pokémon with you is huge screw you to long time fans. What really gets me is the further casualization, shift towards mobile, and annual releases.

I don't get the Tony hate or the Steve hate. Was this a thing born from a storyline from the comics, and people just ran with it? Honestly, I don't get it. I like them both and don't feel the need to hold one up as superior to the other.

Captain America: Civil War. That is literally it. A lot of people picked a side.

Pfffft, the only good side worth taking on that movie is that the writers sucked.

Fucking this. I luff ALL the MCU people! I've even grown to like and enjoy Ant-Man!

I mean, he's not awful or anything and I love Paul Bettany, but Vision is just so blah to me. I wish they'd just stuck with JARVIS. I don't really care for Friday, though I do like both the AIs Tony gives Peter - Karen and EDITH (that might be partly because Karen is Jennifer Connelly, with is an awesome in and of itself, but also because she and Paul Bettany are married).

Vision *is* dull as dishwater, and he makes Wanda dull, more's the pity.

I preferred Jarvis over Vision, yes, and Friday is okay, just...not Jarvis.

Yet another reason to shun and loathe Age of Ultron!

I am biased: Tony is my fave. But I would never claim he's somehow objectively better than Steve, because Steve is amazing and I love him too. When I read MCU fic it tends to feature Tony pretty heavily, and I spend a lot of time thinking about how great of a character he is. But then I'll watch a scene from Captain America on youtube or something, and be like, "Omgggg Steeeve, how r you so great? ILU."

Then again, I also think they both had very good, strong points in the Civil War conflict (specifically as it's depicted in the MCU; I haven't read the comics so I can't comment there).

Especially when you don't have MSWin.

On the one hand, I’m glad the Tom Cruise Mummy movie tanked, because it was fucking awful. On the other hand, I’m sad because I would’ve loved the shared Universal Monsters reboot universe a la the MCU that the movie was supposed to kickstart. Just not one where that flaming turd of a film was a representative sample.

I love that Bob Belcher is canonically bisexual and I ship him with Jairo the Capoiera teacher and the deli counter guy from the Thanksgiving episode.

Aladdin/Mozenrath was my first slash ship and even though in retrospect it's cringey, I still find myself missing the fandom

I talk about fan fiction with people a lot but I actually almost never read it anymore.

Sometimes I'm glad when TV shows I like end. Then the canon is closed, I don't have to keep up with new canon for fic or discussions, and if it ended okay, I get to remember it with nostalgia. I don't mean like after 1 season, but 3 or 4 is okay and 5 or 6 is great.

Detectives Benson and Stabler from Law and Order SVU helped me realize I was bisexual when I also realized how hot it would be to be interrogated by them both.

All of the fandoms I'm interested in are dead/dying. I've started watching shows I don't even like (Shadowhunters, Merlin, Stargate Atlantis) because of the amount of fic there is to read.
