(Anonymous) 2019-07-10 01:19 am (UTC)(link)Like, your usual FPS gives you the power fantasy of being a super-soldier, and there's nothing wrong with daydreaming every so often about these scenarios or writing fiction, but I say this as someone that loves military sci fi: Being forcibly made a super-soldier would be a gross violation of human rights, it would be nightmarish to have genocide inflicted against your species, a militaristic government is bound to turn to the worst, and (somehow) surviving would curse you to a lifetime of trauma you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.
But the reason behind most of these fantasies (which would in real life be fittingly horrific) is usually something that people wish they had in some way. A form of escapism, if you will? The Handsmaid Tale is dystopian, but you saw something you wish you had, even in it? As long as you recognize the horrific implications and it remains strictly on the realm of fantasy, neither you nor anyone else is getting hurt.
You could write something out, or even roleplay it (... not necessarily with porn in mind), but overall, I think realizing what you want from it can serve as a way to understand yourself, and find a way to lead a better and more fulfilling life.
