Babies are creepy little blob gremlins.

They're just...proto-people. They don't do much, they tend to be sticky or snotty or stinky or spitty, and they really are only attractive and clever to the people who actually love them.

Absoultely.
Ugh, I've had to look after an infant once or twice, and I can't imagine how anyone can find something so cute after cleaning up after all of that.

Hee! Well, you love the ones that are yours (one hopes), and like a cat heaving up, you just deal and it doesn't change anything.

I just don't like the assumption that any random baby shoved at me is going to make me coo and want to hold them. No, thank you.

Funnily, I'm like the reverse. I adore babies, I love cuddling them and playing peekaboo, and all that stuff, and then when they hit the walking/talking ages I lose all interest.

My daughter has said she never wants a child. I'm happy to support that and even happier that her boyfriend feels the same.

Haha they truly are. Like pets. Some people love them, some just don't have any interest!

Yeah I've never had a want for kids (currently almost 36) and my parents have always been super cool about it.

I'm forever baffled by the parents who go on and on about 'when do i get GRANDBABIES!!!' as if that's the only reason they had kids in the first place or something.

My mom and dad were never like that, thank gods, and my sister (at 54) and my brother (at 49) are childless, happy, and were never nagged.

I'm sick of babies and I'm more tired of people who think they're better than everybody else just because they had a baby.

Especially the ones who had/are having kids at 15 or 16 and the parents are all running around like they're sacred Madonna icons or something.

I do find some babies cute, but only a few. There are a lot of ugly babies out there.

I don't understand the *wallowing*. It's sad, yes, it's tragic. But my dad died (not then), and while I miss him dreadfully, I don't make a huge to-do on every anniversary, and go around in sackcloth and ashes.

I think it's easier to get people to ignore or downplay all the shite we're doing in other countries if they can keep beating the 9/11 gong.

It makes me angry when politicians trot out 9/11 and the first responders for their own political gain but then refuse to fund the current medical crisis of first responders who are now all dying of cancer from breathing in the poison dust while recovering body parts from the TT site month after month.

YES, fuck's sake.

And they go on and on and on about 'heroes', but can't be arsed to fix the VA, or give firefighters the right kind of equipment to combat occupational cancer, or even PTSD counseling and healthcare for all first responders....

Rage inducing.
