Rick and that one woman on The Walking Dead who he seemingly fell in love with in like 2 mins.

Ted/Robin happening again. Even though I'd been warned. It still happened out of nowhere.

The one in the secret. What was that?

Willow/Kennedy in season 7 of Buffy. She really didn't need someone new.

Some of the romance in Infinity Wars felt out of nowhere because they didn't show us development Vision/Wanda.

Also Steve ending back with Peggy. And Natasha and Bruce in Age of Ultron.

Bruce/Natasha. It just. doesn't. work. I see what they were trying to do, but that kind of storyline would have worked better with a pairing like Bucky/Natasha.

In the third Millennium book, I couldn’t see wtf was so special about the eleventh sex interest of Blomkvist’s that she suddenly made him abandon his well-established aromantic/poly-casual lifestyle and get serious, or why we were supposed to care.

Every Teen Wolf couple that just seemed to be together and then not together because they were now with some freshly invented characters for plot reasons that will also never be explained.

A special award goes to Stiles and Malia for taking safe, sane, and consensual and throwing that out the window of the actual asylum. One is possessed by ancient evil, the other turned into a coyote and lived in the woods for years after experiencing a trauma as a child.

Sam and Amelia on Supernatural seriously pissed me off.

Echoing the many 'but why?' sentiments of Ted/Robin, because both characters went through more than enough development and examples of why they didn't work... only to be paired off at the end.

Jackie/Fez, and this isn't to say she had to end up with Hyde, but given how Fez's one-sided crush on her is over after season 2 it was just so weird they put those two together, Jackie/Kelso would have made more sense.

Bruce/Natasha, I didn't hate it but it also really came out of nowhere to me.

In the same sentiment Clint's surprise!family was also out of nowhere, but again I didn't hate it, just had more of a 'huh, okay' reaction.

Jon/Dany, well this one is more me finding them unmitigatedly boring despite the fact that it should have been interesting because of various different factors. Also I just really didn't see any romantic chemistry between them, and I very rarely say that about canon romances, so when they hooked up I was like 'wat'.

Scott/Malia, why. I know Allison got offed so that got forcibly burned out of the deck but Kira was still right there but no, we had to write her out for some reason. They were cute and I wanted them to stay. :(

Jane/Lisbon, this one's funny because I actually shipped it in fanon, but outside of a being able to read some of Lisbon's affection as a little one-sided crush I never got the impression that they were deeply into one another. They adored each other but it never felt romantic. And I never felt that he really got true closure over the deaths of his family, not saying he could never move on, I just don't think we ever saw him do that given just how much of his character was tied up with that.

Death Note. I don’t understand why it’s so popular, aside from the popular pairing which IMO only has a couple good moments.

Probably The Hobbit movie trilogy. I don't have strong feelings about adaptational changes, it's just too long and there's sandworms and what?

Candide by Voltaire - could not stand it, didn't like any of the characters; it was supposed to be funny, but I was just aggravated by the characters and the events

Dungeons & Dragons, the animated series - loved it as a kid, but, wow, having watched it as an adult, I really question kid me's taste (there were lots of stupid things I watched as a kid, but, well, I kind of knew they were stupid then; this one I did not and I don't get why)

The Hotel New Hampshire - so weird, so, so, weird. I didn't really understand it and I don't really want to.

Rain on Netflix, though I actually only finished Season 1. Acting was meh and so many damn huge plot holes.

Elfen Lied. I enjoyed it, but I would have to go into a whole thing about how messed up it is as a warning and it's not worth it.

Hobbit movies. Game of Thrones given the terrible ending. Seinfeld. I used to really love it, but honestly it really isn't that good. Secret Diary of a Call Girl, which I'm not sure why I loved when it first came out. The Mentalist because it went way downhill and was ruined.

Wuthering Heights. Actually, anything with an author named Bronte.

Eragon, okay I might recommend the first book if you want a fun fantasy-romp, but I'd never recommend the books after. They were so hard to get through.

I loved the Drizz't books but I'd never actually suggest that anyone else reads them, unless they're into trashy fantasy lit xD.

Nightflyers, despite how the trailer looked it was mostly really boring and the main character was such a fucking tool.

The new Sabrina show: same deal as above, it's honestly kind of boring and really badly written, but it looks snazzy so it tricks you into thinking it's better than it is.

Game of Thrones, I'd probably recommend individual episodes because some of them are really good. But overall it's not worth it, not unless you want to see a hilariously terrible ending for a super-hyped up show.

Not only did I finish Atlas Shrugged, I enjoyed the hell out of it. But I'd still never recommend it to someone (at least not without an avalanche of caveats).

For the record, I'm very left-leaning. I just like the way Rand writes (when she's not writing sixty-page amphetamine-fueled speeches).

Fusion terms for pairings, romance pairings between those canonically in a parent/child relationship, incest (maybe 1 or 2 exceptions, like if they were half-sibs and had ZERO idea before falling in love), rape/sloppy seconds healing sex, necrophilia, bestiality, underaged sex especially if in graphic detail.

Read "her penis" during a sex scene with two (canon) cis women recently and had to read the whole thing and tags from the start to reassure myself I hadn't missed anything. Apparently the truly woke don't tag for trans headcanons anymore.
