What did everyone do today? Having a good day?

I had two court hearings, one at 8:30 and one at 1:30. I also had a list of errands that were supposed to get done, but none of them got done because I woke up this morning with a cold. I'm now in bed with a heating pad on my head, waiting for the mucinex and benadryl to kick in so I can sleep.

Man, I wish life would give you a break! Hoping you feel better soon!

But I also SUPER feel you because my day was all I went to work, got bloodwork done, and then halfway through supper my body was like 'lol nope you're going to be sick as hell, bb' and I spent half an hour in the bathroom.

My cat, fiend that she is, decided to hide under the table rather than come see why mommy was making those ghastly noises at the toilet. She's lucky she's cute.

Now I'm moping around the internet, contemplating trying to eat again, since I'm hungry, but my stomach is also feeling like 'don't you fucking dare, babe' at me. Ugh.

Sorry about the bloodwork and the being sick after. That's not fun. Aw. Cute kitty. My kitty was adorable today too. She always makes me feel better. Attacked my feet this morning, but she's adorable and can get away with it.

Maybe try a banana or some bread? That's what I always start with after I've been sick.

My kitty is too old and 'dignified' to play with my feets but she does this thing where she sleeps covering her face with her paws. It's the cutest thing, she's done it since she was a kitten. (She's 18 now.) Kitties are just a blessing of cute. <3

Whelp, I tried a slice of bread and... yeah... that didn't go over well. I'm just going to crawl into bed and hope tomorrow is better. ^^'

Meh. Okay. I need to work on my crocheting more but not feeling motivated.

Sorry your day has been meh. Hope you find your motivation sometime soon and can get done what you want to. Hope your evening goes okay and you can have a bit of fun before bed.

It was okay, I guess. I went to work (and had to stay late while my boss finished some stuff up but I didn't have anything left to do so I watched some of Kamala Harris's climate change town hall thing on my phone...wasn't particularly impressed) and then came home and I've just been screwing around online for the past couple hours. I'm in a weird mental space right now (probably because I haven't gotten a decent amount of sleep in several days and being sleep deprived always messes with my head) so I'm trying to distract myself and not think about anything negative. Oddly, I don't really feel like sleeping, but I think I might go lay down in a bit and listen to a podcast.

I'm off tomorrow so I'm really looking forward to sleeping in, and I think I'm going to bake brownies. :D

I'm not to impressed with Harris either. One of my friends is super into her. She'd be okay, but she's not my top choice at all.

Sleep is good, and not sleeping sucks. I hope you can sleep tonight. And I hope you can relax and have fun with your podcast. Hopefully it will relax your brain so you can sleep. I too find that sometimes even if I haven't slept my brain will be restless, and listening to something can help me. So hopefully it helps you.

Yeah, sometimes even when I'm super tired my brain won't stop thinking about stuff and I can't fall asleep. A lot of times podcasts help, though. I saw that the one I wanted to listen to apparently isn't going to go up until next week, though, so now I'm debating whether to try to find a different one or just look at random stuff online until I feel like sleeping lol.

Elizabeth Warren is my first choice.

Mine too! From what I've seen she seems to be slowly gaining more and more support and it's exciting but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'm worried about election interference (and the fact that the Senate refuses to do anything about election security) or just not enough people voting (or Biden getting the nomination; I feel like he's the last thing we need right now). I know I worry too much, though, so maybe I'm just being unnecessarily negative.

Going stir crazy waiting out this storm. Sheltering in place.

I feel that

I get the feeling I'll also feel all the shit the idiot neighbors couldn't be bothered to bring in from their patios mere hours before the storm, and possibly the unsecured but full dumpster and furniture that none of us were allowed to leave by the dumpster but some asshole did anyway.

I posted the #1 secret and I've spent half the day refreshing the page and reading people's comments and surfing the waves of endorphins that gives me. People talking about something I said! :D Polite disagreement! :D :D People complimenting my secret-design skills! :D :D :D
