Got my car smog checked, got tea at my favorite boba place, and got a mani-pedi (eggplant purple glitter nails and cafe au lait cream toes). I'm having leftover turkey chili with rice for dinner and will watch Emergence later this evening. I have to work tomorrow and Thursday but then I'm off Friday through Sunday, yay!

I ate way too many chocolate wafers due to sulking about my period coming a week early. :/

I also worked and bought cat litter/groceries so I can hide inside for the next week since it's supposed to snow/rain until Monday now.

Woke up with a headache behind my right eye, but thankfully ibuprofen kicked its ass quickly.

Worked, came home, had some leftover curry for dinner, played some Stardew Valley, watched episodes one of Stumptown, Evil, Batwoman, and Prodigal Son. Am 100% enjoying them all right now.

Hoping Batwoman does not decline though.

Any reason beyond the shock value? Which, granted, is valid enough. But if they also throw kick-ass parties or you get a free houseplant or something for joining up, then yeah.

Was off work, so I slept late, watched a bit of TV, washed dishes, and have spent the past several hours reading about creepy urban legends and mysteries online.

I'm going to make dinner soon, then maybe go read a book or watch something (not sure what yet).

Court in the morning, then listened to part of a Spanish audiobook. Then Spanish class. Then some more legal work. Also doing laundry. Currently eating dinner while working on laundry load number 4 out of 5. All this while being on day 3 of a migraine. Oh, also got an email about the first round of interviews for a one year fellowship that I really, really, really want. So pretty excited about that.

Discovered that my sewing machine was in fact delivered with the itsy bitsy screwdriver to do the itsy bitsy adjustment to the lower thread tension that I thought I'd have to get done professionally and the one store doing maintainance here strongly hinted I was being foolish mortal for insisting I knew what the problem was, rather than having a full service done.

tl;dr I now have flannel pantyliners in washed-out plaid.

I've been cleaning and looking for the key to my document safe and I found 10 different keys and none of them are the key I need.

It's been that kind of week so far.

Hair question

Has anyone here gone from a darker color to a lighter color? What exactly does the process entail?

My hair is currently basically black. Really a very, very dark brown. The color I'd like to go is what the hairdresser called mahogany. A dark reddish-brown. To me it looked about the same color level as what I have now. But it would involve one level of lightening. I've never lightened hair before. So I'm just wondering if anyone has ever done it and what it is like.

I'm really in the mood for a change. But it is pretty much impossible to go from my color to anything else without lightening.

What are your favorite candy types (gummy, chocolate, hard candies, etc)?

I love gummy candy. My favorite are the Trolli Sour Octopus.

Chocolate is probably my number one favorite, but I'm not very picky. Hershey's is fine. Not the tastiest, but fine. I do love the more British/European style of milk chocolate which tastes creamier with more caramel notes to me.

Gummy worms are also a favorite, and sour patch kids.

Chocolate. I like a lot of candies. But chocolate always tops. Favorites include Dove, anything with caramel, most white chocolate, Lindt, Ghirardelli, Milka (they make this amazing hazelnut bar), Ferrero Rocher, and Cadbury.

chocolate, especially dark chocolate. maple anything. caramels. marzipan. butterscotch.
my ideal candy situation would probably be a large box of mixed chocolates and I get to choose all the centers.

I don't like anything except straight up chocolate. soft chocolate. chocolate chocolate chocolate. truffles, bars, whatever, as long as it's chocolate.

well okay Reeses cups are good too but I only treat myself to those once a year.
