you know what it is for me? as I sit here watching this week's episode...

what it is, is. Half of the "tale" of their relationship is told in flashbacks or suggestions of how it went in one reality. So we don't have a genuine linear progression showing that how they get together is organic, real, and believable. we're being asked to trust that because of the video record of the "I love you" that this is a real thing and happening is natural, when it's pretty hard to believe anything when you're given A and C and expected to believe that B happens as a natural link between the two.

like, with a lot of this show I'm okay with the timeskips and flashbacks and resets but I'm not buying it with all the relationship shit. I don't even like heteronormative relationships in the first place, but now I'm being expected to assume that it happened and will happen again? I'm not here for this.

side note Elenor is the best bi we've got and hell yeah girl you go for it.

But the very first reality was the two of them all the time being together and finding each other adorable?

Tes, they did undermine themselves a bit with this narrative structure.
