Okay, after reading all of the TL;DR about this couple, I have just one thing to say.

You're free to like or not like whatever you want.

Really, it's okay if you like a specific couple and someone else doesn't. Also, the reverse is true too: it's okay if you don't like something, and someone else does. You don't have to write long essays about why you're right and why the other person is wrong. The only justification you need for how you feel is that's what you like. It's okay for people to feel differently than you.

I'm sorry. Really. I wish I had posted a less direct 'I get the feeling that if that had been McCain's face instead, people wouldn't have reacted as strongly.' And you know it's true. Maybe you, reading this now, are more rational than that, but there are plenty who, if they had seen the OP was talking about McCain and Palin, would've just giggle-snorted (maybe frowned a bit) and continued scrolling, rather than getting furious at both the OP and even the mods. We can't be certain without a control, but I bet there was plenty of favoritism causing those angry replies to 109, and it just frustrates me is all. Sorry if I insulted anyone who knows better.

Also, seeing as how we don't vote directly for the president, the Electoral College does, all our vote is is telling them our opinion. And my opinion is that neither Obama or McCain are the best candidate. If more people didn't feel obligated to vote for Republican or Democrat, maybe we could finally steer away from the corrupt two-party system. A defeatist attitude won't lead to progress of any sort.

Let us band together and spend too much time discussing SNL minutiae.

Someone asked why people like the pairing so we explained. It's not like anyone on either side was being really wanky here. It was a rather civil debate considering how these things usually turn out. And we pretty much came to the same conclusion.

Motherfucker. Now that's not very nice, is it? I googled, so what? What do you want me to do about it? People are changed one by one, not by yelling at the masses. And yeah, I will cry about it if I want to. That's why it's a secret, stupid. What's so wrong with judging people for being hypocritical? It was personal secret, meant for specific people, and I don't give a rat's ass what you think of it. My best friend is gay and I will complain about anything and everything I want to. SHE laughed at it. It wasn't against gay people - obviously I didn't make that clear enough for the ones lacking common sense. It was against people who are hypocritical with their own sexuality. It's my RL friends that are the problem. Honestly, I know the secret was kinda wank-ish - that's why it's a secret. I was just fed up with some specific people and I freely admit it is a very relative thought. And yeah, people will say whatever they want, but I really do believe what I wrote. I can't slash girls because it's just weird for me. It's nothing against gay people either (my best friend is gay), it's just that I honestly believe that if you slash your own sex in a romantic/sexual way, you've got some gay inside you. I think we all do, just some people more so than others. I consider people who slash their own sex to be more gay than me. That's all.

I wasn't just trolling. I really do believe it. I know it's kinda wanky, but that's why it's a secret.

119) I can only conclude from this that you are a young teen. Just because you think a symbol is pretty doesn't mean you can use it without some sensitivity to its meaning. I'd suggest if you don't want to be mistaken for a gay activist, you switch to hearts and flowers and gemstones. They are colorful and pretty, too, and don't come with any cultural baggage.
