What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am going to try and finish the hot pad I am making for my sister for Thanksgiving. I am using a new pattern that I really like. I also need to finish my Christmas shopping so I can stop worrying about that.

I’m hopefully going to go see Frozen 2 and maybe start on my Christmas shopping.

I hope you get to see the movie! How much shopping do you have to do?

Staying in bed. Still not allowed to put weight on foot (doc said probably 3 weeks). Painkillers make me sleepy, so probably will sleep a lot. I have to do homework for Sunday class at some point even though I can't physically go to class. Other than that, watch some stuff (Whose Line and then I don't know what else) and read top 10 lists.

Leaving for Puerto Vallarta! Pros! Puerto Vallarta. Cons! ...my god I hate my family except for my mother...

Is it going to be a ton of family? Are you and your mom going to have some time yall can spend time together.

Technically...? It's all my family, but that's all of four other not-dog people. To me it's a ton! XD And maybe... it depends on if my niece is still blaming getting sick from too much sun and drink on shrimp. If so, Mom and I will have nice, quiet shrimp dinners at a restaurant that serves almost entirely shrimp. XD

Traveling on a redeye Saturday night to visit my mother for thanksgiving

Family holiday get together tomorrow. Going early to help my mom cook and get all the good gossip before everyone gets there. Will have to play nice with the cousin who inexplicably has hated me since we met when I was seven (step-cousin), and try and avoid all the sticky fingered children.

I hope it isn't too awful! How many people will be there?

Same! I am not actually sure because my mom has been planning so I am not sure who all is coming or not coming. If everyone accepted it's probably around 30 to 40 people.

I'm the one who's posted a few times about the internet issues I've been having for the past several weeks, and it's finally fixed! And things have been kinda crazy the past couple weeks, so I'm going to just hang out and relax, probably do some streaming since I have working internet again (not sure what I'm going to watch, though) and read. Might bake cookies or something, too.

WOOHOO! Having working internet is the best. I hope you can find something great to watch in celebration.

Get more used to my new bed, hopefully! I've been airing it out in between sleep sessions so that the chemical smell dissipates. It's been better. I'm six nights in and haven't gotten an uninterrupted night's sleep yet, but I notice I don't feel stiff in the morning. Plus, my overall mood's been better, but I'm not sure if it's due to the new bed or just doing new things in general.

Awesome! Did the rain harm it at all? Was it like a casper mattress or something like that?

I wanted to stay in bed but there's a protest against sexism and violences towards women so I'll try to get up and haul myself and march along (hoping to find something like a "it's so bad even the introvert and autistic people are here, make streets and society safe for us damnit!!" to get by?)

Not sure how late it is where you are, but I hope the protest went well!

Having some work done on my house, so probably looking for excuses not to be there.
