Best OC Centric Fic

So I'm writing an OC centric fic myself about an American Muggleborn being a pureblood wizard's wife during a time when a Malfoy presides as the President of MACUSA.

It got me curious. What are some good OC centric fanfics? If you're coming here to be negative though don't bother. I'm already going to write it regardless.

The only one I've liked was a BDSM universe fic that probably wasn't that great but I loved it.

I feel like I usually like canon!OCs more than straight-forward OCs? Like where a minor character essentially gets turned into an OC. It's just hard for me to buy an entirely new character coming into the canon, I guess.

Eh...personally I feel like in some worlds it's fun to explore the greater world outside the specific setting of the canon. But it's a personal taste thing. :)

I did this with Nephry Osborne in Tales of the Abyss, writing all kinds of in-depth fic with her as the principal character, and it seemed to go over well! I like this approach too.

Thank you for that link! I never was in Naruto fandom and dear lord it's been twelve years since that one time I sat down to read the manga just to know what the fuss was all about, but that fic looks super intriguing and it's definitely going on my "to read" list ♥

I'm still vaguely in the Naruto fandom, but mostly in the sense that I putter along with my own fics and go diving for random fic to read now and then. I don't pay any attention to Boruto and I stopped caring about how canon fell out not long after the timeskip.

But I've always enjoyed this fic. It's one of the ones I go back and read every year or so because it's just... nice? IDEK how to explain it. The author never finished the sequel, but this one stands on its own just fine. ♥ I hope you enjoy it!

I can probably dig up a few good OC fics where they encounter the canon characters, because that's one of my favorites, but I don't think I've read any where it's just the OC and the world, if that makes any sense?
