teen wolf*, supernatural, voltron, most of the MCU, sherlock, merlin.

*the irony here is that there WAS gay in this show... but it's not what everyone wanted or talked about.

That is because Danny was a background character that randomly disappeared.

he was there for a full 3 seasons before he was randomly tossed aside, his screentime wasn't even that bad in s1 or s2, he got an actual boyfriend in s3, who i hated but my god there were people actually arguing that his love-scene with said bf was 'bait' and 'bad rep' because reasons it wasn't sterek.

oh and after him there was mason and his bf corey, who also had an okay amount of screentime before they too disappeared because this show threw out characters like they were going out of fashion.

but sure, sterek was the 'gay rep' of that show, lmao.

Ha, I remember my friend telling me that there was so much chemistry between Sherlock and John that it was just one step away from being canon.

i get people shipping them, since they were the 'main' relationship in the show, if you will. but they weren't crafted as a deliberate romance by any metric and the overwhelming insistence that they were 'totally gay' or would end up together was coming from fans with their shipper goggles on far too tight.
