I'm (re)watching Call the Midwife. And watching Jenny Agutter (Sister Julienne), and then going online and watching 'Logan's Run', where she is *so* young, and so amazingly beautiful in her flowing, drifting, nearly see-through green drapery....

She's still beautiful, but it's so amazing to see her then and now. Her voice is still exactly the same, and it's beautiful, too.

Just got home from my toastmasters club. We had pizza. Now I'm putting on a Criminal Minds episode. Starting season 7 on my rewatch.

I'm sitting up near the top of my bed with my legs curled up because my cat is sleeping in the middle of the bed and I don't want to disturb her.

Well, I just placed an order with uber eats because they sent me a code for free delivery, but the fucking goddamn piece of shit website (once I actually got it UP at ALL) decided to take the code and then do SWEET FUCK ALL WITH IT! I re-entered the code, and it goes "Ooopsie-doopsie!!! You ALREADY USED THAT! :D :D :D" and I go "I FUCKING KNOW, SHIT-FOR-CODE!!!"
And it's sitting there with 'promotions available' under the checkout button, like it fucking knows I entered the code but HEY! maybe I just really feel like forking over the extra $9 for delivery tonight for NO FUCKING REASON AT ALL!!!!

And THIS is why I pretty much never order from Uber-motherfucking-Eats!

Here ask if a show you've been meaning to watch is any good and maybe somebody will tell you!

For me, I want to know if the new DuckTales cartoon is any good. There are some adorable ships from it and the artstyle is cute.

Is She-Ra any good? I adore the fanworks.

I wanted to like She-Ra more than I did. I didn't think it was very interesting. I liked some of the character designs, but the writing didn't hold my interest for long. It's fine, as a kids show, but that's all it is.

I love She-Ra and I would say it's fairly good. The writing could be better in spots, but it's no worse than the average cartoon. If you like the fanworks for the characters and think the world is interesting, check it out. If you're not into soft sci-fi with magic and princesses, it's not going to hold your interest, but if that's your thing, it's a lot of fun.

i like she-ra quite a lot, it's not amazingly deep or anything like that and the writing definitely has it's spotty bits, but it's otherwise pretty fun and i find the characters engaging to watch and see how their stories unfold.

it's more on the low-key sci-fi/mild fantasy side of things so if that isn't your jam you might not like it.

I only watched a couple episodes of the new Ducktales, but it was decent. I wouldn't mind watching more of it. (I know, not much of an endorsement, but it's definitely watchable.)

Not a show, but is Fire Emblem: Three Houses any good? I loved Awakening and what I've played of the older games. However, I hated Fates to the point that it killed my interest in the series for a while. Would love to hear opinions.

Netflix series I Am Not Okay With This

Anyone seen it? The trailer looks interesting in most parts, but I'm hesitant because it's "From the producers of Stranger Things." I didn't like Stranger Things, Eleven especially I found very annoying and smug, and the main character from this seems to be another misfit girl with scary powers so I'm not sure I want one of those from the same people who wrote one I didn't like before.

I thought the new Ducktales was super adorable. They gave each of the nephews more distinct personalities and i really loved all the little hints and cameos of other older shows, like for example TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck. They also modernized the setting quite well without it being too jarring.

Can Anyone Explain What The Hell Is Going On In Doctor Who?

*SPOILERS FOR DOCTOR WHO*



Am I supposed to know what's going on? Like the entire war could have been easily solved if they just killed the half baked cyberman in Shelly's house. It's not like they're hesitating now when they're fighting against them in the future. And why the hell did the Doctor even bring her companions willingly into a hostile war zone anyways? She just ditches them almost immediately and ignores them completely for a full episode and a half. Then some crazy old man gives the Doctor an easy out (which doesn't actually change the fact she still allowed him to click the button) and then the end? She just goes to jail on a completely unrelated offence done by her past self without any real conclusion? Like what?

And then there's the matrix, a child, a cyberium (whatever the hell that even is) a bunch of confusing retconning with no explanation about what they're changing and how/why. Like I've never watched the original series, and the newer series had so much information being thrown around that it's basically impossible to keep track of it all.
I'm even getting annoyed at the Doctor calling her companions 'fam', like all she's done is ignore them and push them away the entire time, at times being downright rude. Any time they try to reach out and get to know her she just shrugs them off and gets them to wait in a corner until she'd finished brooding.

Ugh, I'm so annoyed. Very confused, and clearly missing a lot.

I've disabled the ad blocker and clicked on the corresponding button that says I've done so, but still keep getting the same damn message. What gives? Trying different browsers, incognito windows, clearing cache, restarting browser, etc. doesn't work. I've done nothing different and have been using this site for weeks without issues.

Has anyone else had this problem? Should I just give up and watch it on youtube?
