You should definitely watch the show. I really like the books but the show is completely different and it's AWESOME. Anna Paquin is doing a great job as Sookie.

The show being completely different is why I don't want to watch it. :/ I want a good representation of the series, not something else with the same characters plopped into it.

I can relate. A lot. My friends and I joke that Juushiro Ukitake is my "papa".

The only reason I got through my finals last year is because I bought a 13th division arm band and and Ukitake figure and sat down every day, promising him I'd work.

I sobbed one day because I was just having such a hard time with a project that I couldn't do it and I felt like I had let him down.

137 - Never read the books, but I think the show is pretty fun? For what it's worth. Though Sookie's does seem to run pretty hot and cold, and have weirdly unreasonable expectations at times, I think, at least, that it seems like a flaw?
