124 - I think they try to address that. Spoilerish, maybe, so I won't explain how if you're going to watch it. I don't know. It's sort of hand-wavy to me, and I wouldn't say that it necessarily worked--but they did try to address it.

I try to read it as ambiguous and an example of a Bad Thing Sam might have done, but that's me.

OP here. I think that the Azaze(a)l storylines definitely bear similarities to each other: he's trying to have children that will bring the apocalypse. He just goes about it a bit differently depending on which continent he roams. ;) In this way, Sam and Malachi could be seen as "brothers".

Thematically the shows are quite different, and quite honestly I liked Hex more. If only it hadn't gotten the axe. :(
