While I agree that representation is a positive thing in media, it is not the be-all end all. I actually hold the viewpoint that a lot of people who demand representation, don't actually care about representation.
I feel this example you have shown somewhat proves it, at least in this case. Their complaint is not centred around helping anyone. Their complaint is "They look white to me, so get rid of them". If adding representation mattered to them, they would have looked into the actors, and made the call based on who is, and is not being represented. they did not care enough to do that. they just wanted to be seen as righteous for shouting down a white. Their care about representation does not stretch beyond "What I perceive to be shown and who I perceive to be more deserving" and frankly, I suspect I'm still being too generous to them. I think it's probably more "What I perceive to be shown and who the most amount of people will want to see me say is more deserving"
