I'm not sure if this counts since, while they're not popular in my country, they are popular in other countries, but I freaking love The Pillows. I'm listening to them right now.

The music that I've been mostly listening to lately is like psydub / psytrance / Goa trance stuff but that's not the kind of thing where you can link specific songs bc it's more about like. 2hr sets. So here's some other stuff

Also: Dansband (how's that for a local specialty). I wouldn't call myself a fan and there is A LOT of trash, but some of it is... not bad, and I wish I could say that to people without mockery. If "Skomaker Anton" doesn't make you smile then you're clearly not human.

Connected, vaguely: I've no idea with Nightwish is up to these days, but I genuinely liked their early records.

Probably doesn't count, but I've been listening to 80's Japanese Pop a lot recently - the most known in this area that got me into the rabbit-hole of yt playlists was Mariya Takeuchi 'Plastic Love'. I like Tatsuro Yamashita's Pocket Music album so far (fave tracks: 'Doyōbi No Koibito' and 'Mermaid')
